What Malia Obama Is Doing Today Will Shock You

During the seven long years Barack Obama has been president, Americans have watched his daughter Malia grow from a 10 year-old child into a 17 year-old woman. Today, Malia will enter the next phase of her life when she graduates high school in Washington D.C.

According to Daily Mail, Malia will be receiving her diploma from the private Sidwell Friends School on Friday, much to the dismay of her father.

“I’m not going to talk about the fact that my daughter leaving me is just breaking my heart,” Obama said last week.

This week, Obama told television host Jimmy Fallon that he plans to bring sunglasses to the ceremony so that nobody sees him cry about his daughter, who he describes as “one of my best friends.”

In contrast, reports say Malia is “very eager” to leave her parents and the White House behind her. She is understandably sick of life in the public eye, and wants to get away from her famous family as quick as she can.

Malia will reportedly be interning at the US embassy in Madrid, Spain this summer before taking a gap year that begins in the fall. In the fall of 2017, she will begin her freshman year at Harvard University in the class of 2021.

While we can’t stand her parents, we have nothing against Malia, and we wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors!
