Ever since Barack Hussein Obama publicly turned his back on American police officers, attacks on cops have increased at an alarming rate in this country. Last night, two police officers in Boston, Massachusetts became the latest victims of this anti-cop mentality when a gunman opened fire on them.

According to The Blaze, two police officers in Boston were critically injured when responding to a domestic incident on Wednesday night. They were shot by a 33 year-old suspect who was wearing body armor, and the suspect was then shot dead by police.

Police Commissioner William Evans said that the officers, one a 28 year veteran of the force and the other a 12 year veteran, were each hospitalized in “extremely critical condition.”

“We’re asking for everyone’s prayers to help pull them through,” he told WBZ radio.

USA Today reported that nine officers were treated for minor injuries including stress and trauma.

The gunman has been identified as Kirk Figueroa, who opened fire on the officers after they responded to a report of a person with a gun around 11 p.m. Wednesday in East Boston. Evans described a “hectic scene” as officers pulled the injured cops to safety while being under fire themselves.

“Some of them were involved in the exchange of gunfire, some involved in applying their hands to the wounds of these officers,” Evans told reporters.

He added that his officers only used deadly force as a last resort.

“We had to do what we had to do,” he said. “I commend the officers. They moved in and neutralized the threat pretty quick (so) that no one else got killed.”

Please keep the injured officers in your thoughts and prayers!
