Fans at the popular Nashville venue the Stage were stunned last Friday when country music singer Blake Shelton made an unannounced appearance that had all of them on their feet.
According to Taste of Country, the house cover band was covering Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark,” when Shelton took the stage unannounced and performed some of his greatest hits. Much to the joy of the crowd, he performed songs like “Ol’ Red,” “Sangria” and “Honey Bee.”
The setting was much more intimate than his gig at Nissan Stadium the following night, but that didn’t make it any less special for Shelton.
“I’m always jealous of people who get to play on Broadway,” he told an excited audience. “This is way better for me personally.”
We can add this to the list of many reasons we love and adore Blake Shelton. God bless you, Blake!
