A friend of O.J. Simpson said the former football star is finally admitting to the murders of his wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, and that he will issue a public confession when he is released from prison for unconnected armed robbery charges.
According to Daily Mail, Ron Shipp said his friend Simpson is in “total torment” and will publicly apologize for the murders upon his release, which could happen next year.
“The guy is in total torment today. Someone told me he is 300 pounds and he looks horrible,” Shipp told Daily News. “O.J. has always felt his appearance meant everything and now, deep down inside, he is starting to live with himself.”
“I hope one day he actually will rid us of all the doubt and all the conspiracy theories and say ‘sorry I cannot go to prison (because of double jeopardy laws), but I am sorry I did it,'” he added.
Simpson was cleared of murder charges in a 1995 trial that captivated the entire world.
