Hillary Clinton took it for granted that she had the Democratic presidential nomination on lock. A shocking new poll, however, revealed this isn’t the case at all.
If Hillary wins the California primary, she will officially clinch the nomination. She assumed that she would win the state handily, since she has been leading their for months. However, a new poll has shown that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has officially caught up to her in the state less than a week before the California primary.
According to The Political Insider, Sanders has reached a statistical dead heat with Hillary going into the June 7 primary. The NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released on Wednesday had Hillary at 49% support from likely Democratic voters and Sanders with 47%, which is well within the poll’s margin of error of 4.2%.
