GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has been saying for months that he plans to make the Republican convention in Cleveland more of a “showbiz” event. Now, he has reinforced this once again by announcing that a celebratory film about his candidacy is being made by Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel.
According to Daily Mail, Emanuel is one of the biggest power-players in Hollywood and is also the brother of former Obama chief of staff and former Bill Clinton aide Rahm Emanuel.
“He’s a very good friend of mine,” Trump told The Hollywood Reporter. “He calls me a lot. I call him a lot and we talk. He’s very political. Even though he’s not political, he’s political. He gets it.”
“You’re shocked to hear that, right?” Trump said, in reference to the convention movie. “But yeah, I might do something with Ari. Does he represent you?’ he asked his interviewer, Michael Wolff.”
Some supporters fear that Trump is “selling out” to Hollywood with this move. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
