Patriots everywhere are in mourning this week after conservative talk show host and actor Jerry Doyle was found dead at his Las Vegas home on Wednesday afternoon. He was 60 years-old.
According to Daily Mail, Doyle was best known for his starring role on the hit science fiction show Babylon 5. When the program ended in 1998, Doyle switched careers to become a political talk show host. The Jerry Doyle Show has been airing on weekdays from 3pm-6pm for years on the Talk Radio Network.
Back in 2000, Doyle ran for California’s 24th Congressional district as a right-leaning Libertarian, but he lost the race. In 2013, Doyle created the website EpicTimes. After his death, the site posted a brief statement from Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.
“He was funny, and dangerous, and loyal, and a prankster, and a pain in the ass; he was gentle and cynical and hardened and insightful and sometimes as dense as a picket fence…and his passing is a profound loss to everyone who knew him, especially those of us who fought beside him in the trenches of Babylon 5,” Straczynski wrote.
Rest in peace, Jerry Doyle!
