Country music singer Miranda Lambert got some sad news this week when the bed and breakfast she owned in Tishomingo, Oklahoma officially closed down.
According to Taste of Country, Lambert resided in the small town when she was married to her ex-husband Blake Shelton. There, she opened and operated several local businesses, including a boutique called the Pink Pistol and a bed and breakfast. Back in May, she made the sad announcement that the Pink Pistol was closing.
“I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store,” she said at the time. “Sometimes you need to close a chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home.”
Shelton then confirmed that he had purchased the building that once housed the store, saying that “something is brewing” for the space.
Womanista reported this week that Lambert has now sold the Ladysmith Bed & Breakfast, as well. The hotel’s official website now features a post that reads, “Under New Management. The Ladysmith Bed & Breakfast is closed.”
Though no further explanation was given, a July 2 post on Facebook appears to show Shelton standing on the balcony of what was once The Ladysmith with his new girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
Clearly, Lambert is trying to move on from her life with Shelton as much as she can. We pray that she soon finds the happiness and peace she is looking for!
