Ever since he entered the presidential race. Donald Trump has been hit with attacks that he is anti-women. This week, he silenced his liberal haters by hiring appointing two women to top roles in his campaign.
Kellyanne Conway, a veteran strategist and pollster, has been hired as a senior advisor to Trump. Karen Giorno, who had been coordinating Trump’s Florida and Southeastern operations, will also become one of his top advisors. According to Western Journalism, Conway is president and CEO of The Polling Co. Inc. and Woman Trend and previously led the Keep the Promise I super PAC supporting Trump’s rival, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
The Trump campaign said in a statement that Conway “is widely regarded as an expert on female consumers and female voters,” adding that she will serve as a senior adviser to campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
The Trump campaign went on to say that Giorno tasks “will include developing and executing the general election strategy for Florida, and working with the national political director.” Florida is a crucial swing state for Trump in this election.
“Karen is a valuable asset to my team and a consummate professional. She has done a tremendous for me in Florida in the primary, which I won in a landslide, and I am certain we will win Florida again in the general election,” Trump said in the statement.
“Karen Giorno delivered Florida during the primary with overwhelmingly positive results despite being up against a sitting senator and popular former governor, among others,” Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for the campaign, said last month the departure from the Trump campaign of Rick Wiley, who had been brought on to be Trump’s national political director. Wiley reportedly clashed with Giorno, which was a big factor in his departure.
