The United States was rocked by yet another school shooting on Wednesday when a gunman attacked an elementary school in Townsville, South Carolina.
According to Occupy Democrats, at least two children and one teacher were injured, and one of the kids was so hurt they had to be airlifted out of the school by a helicopter. The shooter has since been arrested by police.
300 children who attend kindergarten through sixth grade at the school have been evacuated.
WYFF reported that the injured student has been identified as Jacob Hall, 6, who is still in critical condition.
“We appreciate the community’s support, especially the Townville Rescue Squad, who treated Jacob onsite and brought him to the hospital,” Jacob’s parents, Rodger and Renae Hall, said. “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
