The city of Jackson, Michigan is in full panic today after a gunman opened fire on a school bus before fleeing the scene.
According to Fox News, a Wilson Academy student was shot in the upper body while riding the bus home from school on Monday. The shooter managed to escape the bus and flee, and police have not yet located him at this time. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he or she is still recovering at this time.
Jackson Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Beal spoke out to praise the female driver for how she handled the situation.
“She did not leave her post, she did not panic,” Beal said, according to Three Percenter Nation. “She called 911, called the school dispatch and did everything that we could possibly ask to take care of the kids.”
Beal also said that the shooter is not a student of any school Jackson Public School System. It’s unclear how the gunman ended up on the bus in the first place.
