The State Department dropped a bombshell this week when they announced that they will release all of Hillary Clinton’s detailed schedules as time as secretary of state by mid-October.
This is a complete reversal of what they said last week, when they said they wouldn’t release the schedules until long after the November election. According to the Associated Press, the hundreds of pages of minute-by-minute schedules provide a detailed look at Clinton’s daily routine during her four-year tenure as secretary of state between 2009 and 2013.
Allen B. West reported that the State Department has released about half of Clinton’s schedules so far. These schedules have become particularly important as questions continue to mount surrounding her potential use of her office as a pay-for-play scheme tied to her Clinton Foundation.
The schedules that have already been released have revealed that more than half the people outside the government who met or spoke by telephone with Clinton while she was Secretary of State had given money. The information contained in the rest of her schedules may be enough for Americans to finally lose faith in Clinton, which could cost her the election.
We can only hope that the State Department sticks with this promise and releases the schedules as soon as possible.
