Megyn Kelly shocked Fox News fans this week when she appeared to allude to claims that she was sexually harassed by disgraced former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes.

During Wednesday night’s episode of The Kelly File, Kelly focused a segment on historic claims of abuse against Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

The truth is, victims of sexual assault, victims of rape, victims of groping – they often don’t come forward,” Kelly said, according to Daily Mail. “They’re humiliated – especially back in the day they were told, ‘Move along, it happens to all women, you gotta take it.'”

“I don’t know whether it happened or not,” she added, “I’m just saying these matters are complicated.”

This is the first time Kelly has even hinted at the accusations against Ailes on her show. This is notable because of the claims made by New York Magazine in July that Kelly told lawyers that Ailes had harassed her in the 2000s.

The report revealed that Kelly told lawyers hired by Fox to investigate Ailes that the former CEO made “unwanted advances” towards her ten years previously, when she was a young correspondent at Fox.

Though Kelly has never addressed the claims publicly, she was not among the female Fox News hosts who rushed to defend Ailes from the allegations.
