Donald Trump’s presidential campaign took a massive hit last week when audio footage from 2005 was released in which he made lewd comments about women. At one point in the audio, Trump talked about hitting on television host Nancy O’Dell, who was married at the time.
“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it,” Trump said of O’Dell in the recording. “I did try and f*** her. She was married.”
“And I moved on her very heavily in fact. I took her out furniture shopping,” he added. “She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.'”
Daily Mail reported that days after the recording leaked, O’Dell has separated from her husband of over 10 years, Keith Zubulevich. According to Us Weekly, O’Dell, 50, actually filed for separation from her husband last month.
“In early September, Nancy filed for legal separation from her husband after 12 years of marriage,” a source said. “The situation is very amicable and they still talk every day. Their top priority is their three children.”
This comes after O’Dell responded to the audio leak with a statement of her own.
“Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all,’ she said in a statement,” she said. “When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women. The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling.”
