Going into Tuesday’s election, Hillary Clinton thought there was absolutely no way that she would ever lose to Donald Trump. That’s why it was particularly devastating for her when she did indeed lose to him handily.
Since the loss, Clinton has retreated from the public eye, and hasn’t been seen by anyone: until now.
Daily Mail reported that Clinton fled to her home in the upscale New York suburb of Chappaqua after her loss. She was out walking her dogs there with her husband Bill Clinton when a local woman spotted them and asked for a photo with the former Secretary of State.
Margot Gerster, the woman who posted the photo, explained how she ran into the Clintons.
“I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking,” Gerster wrote. “So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing. As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was.”
“I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” she added. “She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk.”
We hope Clinton enjoys life in Chappaqua, because she’ll be spending a whole lot more time there now that she is NOT president!
