A 37 year-old Brooklyn Muslim was arrested on Monday for allegedly attempting to execute Islamic terrorism on behalf of ISIS.
Daily Wire reported that Mohamed Rafik Naji is a resident of Yemen who was in the United States legally as a permanent resident. He had reportedly been expressing his support for ISIS on social media since September of 2014.
Naji travelled to Yemen in 2015 in an attempt to join ISIS, but he returned to the U.S. when his plan failed. He was planning to carry out a massive terrorist attack in Times Square that would resemble the attack in Nice, France last summer. That attack left 86 dead and 434.
This comes as Donald Trump continues to call for the flow of foreign Muslims coming into the U.S. to be restricted.
