Barack Obama spent most of his presidency lying to the American people and addressing us as little as possible, leaving us constantly wondering what was really going on in our government. Donald Trump, however, plans to change all that, and he’s already making it clear that transparency will be a major priority in his presidency.
Breitbart reported that Trump is expected to deliver a Thanksgiving address to the American people later on Wednesday from his Florida estate Mar-a-Lago, where he is spending the holiday weekend with his family. Meanwhile, Vice President-elect Mike Pence is spending Thanksgiving in Mississippi with his son, who is stationed there as a Marine.
Both Trump and Pence are taking a much needed break, as their team says they have held more than 60 meetings in the last few days as they try to build their administration.
“We may have additional cabinet level announcements coming later today,” Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller told reporters.
More announcements about Trump’s cabinet are expected for today as well. He shocked everyone earlier this morning by naming South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, a frequent critic of his, as his administration’s ambassador to the United Nations. The president-elect is also seriously considering Dr. Ben Carson for the head of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
