Throughout Barack Hussein Obama’s sham of a presidency, both he and his wife Michelle have made it clear that they care more about socializing with Hollywood A-listers than average hard working Americans. They did this once again on Saturday night, when they dropped everything to attend Obama’s final Kennedy Center Honors gala as president.
Daily Mail reported that the president and first lady came to the event to honor actor Al Pacino, gospel singer and civil rights activist Mavis Staples, members of rock band the Eagles, singer-songwriter James Taylor, and pianist Martha Argerich. The event was hosted by late night television host Stephen Colbert, and Secretary of State John Kerry handed out the medallions for one of the country’s most prestigious awards for performing artists.
The event was also attended by Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Jeff Goldblum, and singers Garth Brooks and Bonnie Raitt.
Michelle showed up to the gala wearing a clearly-expensive gown that was undoubtedly paid for with our tax dollars.
It’s sickening that the Obamas spend their time partying with Hollywood stars at galas while the average American is struggling just to put food on the table. It’s this kind of thoughtless display of extravagance that caused so many voters to turn on the Democrats and put Donald Trump in office.
