Since the entertainment industry in this country is run by liberals, Donald Trump has had trouble convincing singers to perform at his inauguration, as they believe doing so would put their careers at risk. Luckily, the country music world has stepped up to the plate and made it clear that they have Trump’s back.
The Belfast Telegraph reported that country music singer Lee Greenwood has announced that he will be performing at Trump’s inauguration concert on the night before he is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
“I’m honoured to be part of history again and sing for president-elect Donald Trump,” Greenwood said. “This is a time to overcome challenges in our country and band together. My wife Kim and I are looking forward to the inauguration ceremonies.”
Greenwood has previously performed at the inaugurations for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush and George W Bush. He has also performed for Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.
This comes as it was revealed that more acts have signed on to perform at the inauguration concert, with country artist Toby Keith, singer Jennifer Holliday and southern rock band 3 Doors Down all booked to perform.
The “‘Make America Great Again!’ Welcome Celebration” will take place Thursday, January 19th and will be broadcast live to the nation from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It will feature historic remarks from President-elect Trump and special appearances from Toby Keith, Jon Voight, Jennifer Holliday, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, Tim Rushlow (“Little Texas”), Larry Stewart (“Restless Heart”), Marty Roe (“Diamond Rio”), Lee Greenwood, and 3 Doors Down.
