Lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union, among others, filed a suit on Saturday to block President Donald Trump’s executive order halting visas for 90 days for “immigrants and non-immigrants” from Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Iran and Iraq.
The order also put a stop to all refugee entry into the country for the next 120 days, indefinitely blocks Syrian refugees and put a cap on refugee entry for the Fiscal Year 2017 at 50,000.
Via the New York Times: At least one case quickly prompted a legal challenge as lawyers representing two Iraqi refugees held at Kennedy International Airport in New York filed a motion early Saturday seeking to have their clients released. They also filed a motion for class certification, in an effort to represent all refugees and other immigrants who they said were being unlawfully detained at ports of entry.
The American Civil Liberties Union is one of the organizations that has taken responsibility for this suit. This is problematic partially because The ACLU is massively funded by Soros’s Open Society Foundations, including a $50 million grant in 2014.
George Soros is an environmental extremist who supports the push to make America subservient to international bodies. He also bankrolls the controversial Media Matters group and is also known to be a champion of open border policies. Over the last decade, Soros has reportedly provided some $76 million for immigrant issues.
The Center’s International Refugee Assistance Project, also funded by one of Soros’s subsidiaries, is listed on the suit as well.
Overall, it looks like George Soros has his fingerprints all over this suit. That alone should be a warning to the American people.
Do you think the new immigration policies will help protect America?
