On Friday afternoon, President Donald Trump travelled from the Florida International Airport to his Mar-a-Lago estate with his motorcade. Along the way, an incident occurred that is downright disturbing…
IJ Review reported that as the motorcade drove down Sunset Boulevard, one of the cars was hit with a “small, hard” object. Once they had dropped off Trump, the Secret Service returned to the area to search for both the object and whoever threw it.
Police eventually found a 2“ by 4” inch wood block, and they posted an image of it on Facebook:
“The investigation determined that a juvenile from a local middle school confessed to throwing the 2 x 4 (see attached) at the motorcade,” the post read. “The juvenile also implicated four additional students that were involved for a total of five.”
Five middle school students from the Palm Beach area now face charges that will be filed with the Palm Beach County States Attorney’s Office.
Palm Beach resident Joyce Judd commented on the post by describing how much things have changed in the last 50 years.
“I remember when Pres. Kennedy would fly in to PBIA,” she wrote. “We would line Southern Blvd and wait for the red Cadillac convertible to pass by. No one ever would have thought to throw anything at his car (or him) … It is a sad testimony to our country that in 50 years, our attitudes and behaviors have changed so much. It is shameful behavior…and I am ashamed that it happened in my hometown.”
