Country music fans are praying for Willie Nelson after he postponed three of his California concerts due to an undisclosed illness.
Yahoo News reported that Nelson’s publicist Elaine Schock announced that Nelson will have to miss his three-night stint in Bakersfield, which was to take place at the Owens’ Crystal Palace. Nelson was scheduled to perform on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week.
Schock gave no details about Nelson’s illness, only saying that he will still perform at his Feb. 16 concert at a San Antonio rodeo.
This has been particularly alarming to country fans since it is the second time in just a few weeks that the 83 year-old icon has cancelled shows due to an illness. Back in January, he cancelled two of his five shows in Las Vegas as he battled a serious cold.
At Nelson’s advanced age, any illness can turn serious at any time. Please send prayers to Nelson as he continues to fight to get healthy again and get back onstage!
