Donald Trump continued his feud with CNN on Wednesday while hosting a Black History Month event at the White House, once again slamming the network as “fake news.”
Mediaite reported that Trump began the event by thanking his African American supporters, including GOP strategist and CNN contributor Paris Dennard.
“Paris has done an amazing job in a very hostile CNN community. He’s all by himself, seven people and Paris. I’ll take Paris over the seven,” Trump joked.
“But I don’t watch CNN so I don’t get to see you as much,” he added. “I don’t like watching fake news.”
Trump then managed to give a shoutout to Fox News.
“Fox has treated me very nice,” Trump said, looking for their camera in the room. “Wherever Fox is, thank you.”
Trump has been engaged in a bitter feud with CNN for months that culminated in him confronting their reporter Jim Acosta a few weeks ago, telling him that he works for a “fake news” network and refusing to take his questions.
