During the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night, the elite liberal celebrities there showed just how out of touch they are with working class Americans by bashing Donald Trump. Actor Ashton Kutcher set the tone for the anti-Trump show when he kicked it off with a ridiculous rant against the president. Unfortunately, this has since come back to bite him in a big way.
“Everyone at airports who belong in my America, you are a part of the fabric of who we are…we welcome you,” Kutcher said in his opening monologue, according to Daily Mail. This was a clear reference to the travel ban Trump signed on Friday.
Kutcher also took to Twitter to continue his anti-Trump rant.
Kutcher’s monologue set the tone of the show and gave other out-of-touch celebrities the green light to speak out against Trump. However, it quickly backfired on him when legions of proud conservatives went on Twitter to slam him.
