Earlier today, we reported that 59 Democrat lawmakers have announced that they will be boycotting Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday. Now, the president-elect is firing back at these idiots in a big way.
“As far as other people not going, that’s OK, because we need seats so badly,” Trump said on Wednesday, according to Infowars.
“No, what happens to their tickets?” Trump asked host Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt. “I hope they’re gonna give us their tickets. I hope they give me their tickets.”
Many Democrats cited Trump’s feud with Congressman John Lewis as their reason for boycotting his inauguration. Lewis began the feud over the weekend when he said Trump is not a “legitimate” president. Trump quickly responded on Twitter by saying Lewis is “all talk” and “no action.”
During the Wednesday interview, Trump slammed Lewis once again, exposing the congressman as a liar for saying he had never boycotted an inauguration despite doing so during former President George W. Bush’s in 2001.
“He conveniently doesn’t remember,” Trump said. “How do you forget if you go to an inauguration? I can tell you when I was at inaugurations and you don’t forget something like that.”
In the same interview, Trump said something that surprised many when he said he dislikes tweeting and only uses Twitter as a defense against media.
“Look, I don’t like tweeting,” Trump said. “I have other things I could be doing.”
“But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it’s my only way that I can counteract. When people make misstatements about me, I’m able to say it and call it out,” he added. “Now if the press were honest, which it’s not, I would absolutely not use Twitter. I wouldn’t have to.”
